This stadium—designed specifically for the most popular sport in Mexico, football—meets all FIFA regulations to make it a venue for international fixtures. Its contemporary, industrial appearance evokes one of the region’s industries, with a design that evokes the malt brewing pots used for making the locally-produced beer as a gesture toward the work of the team’s owner.

We used technology so that the entire façade could be made on site, thus increasing the level of sustainability through energy efficiency, rainwater recycling, and net zero water discharge—one of the criteria that earned it LEED Platinum certification.
Fans can get up close to sports in this stadium thanks to their proximity to the pitch, honoring the “Rayados”—the nickname for the supporters of Monterrey’s team. The design includes a practical and flowing retail circuit at the entrance level, adding another dimension to sports events.

All of these integral design aspects give priority to sports, fans, the environment, and also the city thanks to improvements made to nearby infrastructure.
